The Bowraville Off-River Storage – Package B is the second component of the Bowraville Off-River Storage project – Nambucca Shire Council’s largest water infrastructure project to date. Split into two parts, Package A and Package B, Package A involves the construction of a new dam (i.e off-river storage), and was awarded to Haslin Constructions.

Ledonne Constructions is proud to be involved through the Package B section of the works, as this is also our first project under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme.

The majority of the works, known as Milestone 1, are now complete. This scope of works included;

  1. Installation of 2 kilometres of DN500 GRP pipe,
  2. Construction of a new Raw Water Transfer Pump Station (RWTPS), Raw Water Collection Tank (115KL capacity), and Valve Cluster,
  3. Reconfiguration of the existing High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical infrastructure in the existing borefield and headworks, and
  4. The addition of two new raw water bores in the borefield.

Milestone 2, which involves the testing and commissioning of the Raw Water Transfer Pumps in the RWTPS under a full operational load, will be done once the construction of the dam (by the Package A) contractor is complete and the dam is full of water.
